Fire Detection & Alarm Systems: Conventional, addressable, analogue addressable, and flame detection systems form the basis of the fire detection and alarm systems for general or specific specialist applications. Managed and open protocols are proposed without a favoured manufacturer. Often these systems are networked for larger sites and managed with server / workstations architecture across IP networks. Networks can be designed using copper and fibre with fire protection, redundancy, diverse routing and resilience being the prime characteristics.
High Sensitivity Smoke Detection: Known by the trade mark names of HSSD and VESDA. These systems suit applications where very early smoke detection is required: data centres, server farms and communications facilities are typical applications, although their use in heritage properties has grown in recent years.
Gaseous Extinguishing Systems: The latest gaseous extinguishing systems are designed to deliver effective fire suppression while minimising environmental impact, using agents that are safe for people, equipment, and the planet.
Modern solutions have moved away from older halocarbon-based agents like FM200®, which carried high global warming potential, toward eco-friendly alternatives such as Novec™ 1230 (FK-5-1-12) and condensed aerosol systems like FirePro. These agents are recognised for having zero ozone depletion potential, negligible atmospheric lifetime, and extremely low global warming potential, making them sustainable choices for industries that require reliable fire protection without harming the environment. Systems such as Inergen (IG541, a blend of naturally occurring gases) and Novec 1230 are particularly popular in sensitive environments like data / communications centres, and archives because they suppress fires without damaging electronics or leaving a residue.
In addition to their environmental credentials, these systems ensure compliance with international safety and sustainability standards. They also integrate well with modern detection and control technologies, offering rapid discharge, minimal downtime, and enhanced safety for occupants. By combining carbon-neutral suppression agents with advanced delivery systems, today’s gaseous extinguishing solutions represent a critical step toward balancing fire safety, operational reliability, and environmental responsibility.
Intruder Detection & Alarm Systems: Integrated with other security systems or stand alone, monitored by an ARC (alarm receiving centre) with police response or by the customers own control room. We specialise in high security systems from Grade 3 to Grade 4 (where equipment allows) and to JSP440 standards.
Access Control: High-security access control systems today leverage the latest technology to deliver smarter, faster, and more resilient protection against evolving threats. Modern solutions go far beyond traditional keycards or PIN codes, integrating biometric authentication (fingerprint, facial recognition, iris scans, agile keypads), touchless and mobile-based entry systems, and multi-factor authentication to ensure only authorised individuals gain access. Cloud-based platforms allow organisations to manage access remotely, while AI-driven analytics monitor patterns of entry and flag suspicious behaviour in real time. These systems are increasingly unified with video surveillance and intrusion detection, creating a single, interoperable security ecosystem that improves situational awareness and response speed. Emerging trends also include IoT-enabled smart locks, encrypted credential storage, and adaptive access policies that adjust based on risk levels or user roles. By combining convenience with robust security, the latest access control technologies help businesses safeguard sensitive facilities, protect data, and maintain compliance in an era of hybrid work and heightened cyber-physical risks.
CCTV: We support many legacy analogue systems although most will use digital recording apparatus. All new and upgraded systems will likely use IP technologies, ethernet powering techniques and VMS (video management systems). VMS provide a wide range of tooling that greatly exceeds that which was available only a few years ago. High-definition surveillance cameras, cloud-native and on-premise (more secure) VMS platforms, and AI-driven video analytics to enhance situational awareness and streamline security operations. VMS systems designed to be secure, flexible, and easy to use, enabling operators to quickly detect anomalies, locate people or vehicles (ANPR) of interest, and respond to incidents with greater efficiency. The analytics suite goes beyond traditional monitoring, offering features such as occupancy counting, face mask detection, social distancing, and thermal screening, which support both safety and compliance in modern environments. By integrating seamlessly with a broader ecosystem of communication and access control solutions, these systems empower organisations across industries to make faster, more informed decisions and ensure safer spaces for staff and the public.
Voice Alarm / Public Address: A Voice Alarm system is recognised as the quickest way to evacuate people buildings. Following fire detection, automated messages can control the movement of people in stairwells and corridors allowing a safe evacuation of the building. Manual intervention using high priority fire microphones or paging terminals can supplement the automated response, confirming the validity and need to leave the building or not.
LV Electrical Installation: All of the above equipment requires primary power and most will require secondary power supplies. Some require the ability to operate for many days after failure of the public supply. We are able to design, install, maintain and certify installations to BS7671 and issue NICEIC certificates of conformity.
Portable Fire Extinguishers: An essential first line of defence in tackling small, manageable fires before they escalate. To ensure they remain reliable and effective, it is vital that they are installed, commissioned, and maintained by a BAFE (SP101) accredited company whose engineers hold their own BAFE certification (Technicians Scheme). As a legal requirement in most commercial premises, these tasks must be carried out to recognised British Standards (BS5306), carrying out thorough inspections, servicing, and performance checks to confirm each extinguisher is in full working order and compliant with legal requirements. Regular servicing not only extends the lifespan of the equipment but also provides peace of mind that, in the event of an emergency, the extinguisher will operate safely and efficiently. BAFE-accredited servicing, organisations demonstrate a commitment to high safety standards and the protection of people, property, and business continuity. We provide this service as a bolt on to other fire protection maintenance works.
Emergency Lighting Systems: We provide comprehensive solutions for the installation and servicing of emergency & escape lighting systems, ensuring compliance with current safety standards and regulations. All maintenance and testing tasks are carried out in accordance with our BAFE (SP203-4) accreditation, guaranteeing the highest level of competence and quality assurance. This accreditation demonstrates adherence to rigorous industry standards, offering peace of mind that your emergency lighting systems will perform reliably in critical situations, safeguarding occupants and meeting legal obligations.
Cyber Security: We are certified under both Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials PLUS, government-backed schemes overseen by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), demonstrating our commitment to robust cyber security standards.
- Cyber Essentials provides a baseline level of security through self-certification.
- Cyber Essentials PLUS offers enhanced assurance through independent auditing.
These certifications are a mandatory requirement for many publicly funded projects.
