We consider that our philosophy and the methods of executing the projects that we are involved with is the key to our success and growth over the years. Customer satisfaction and a commitment to quality are key elements of this philosophy.

Qualifications

Impulse Engineering Limited maintains approved and authorised distributor / dealerships that are fully supported by manufacturers. This enables us to provide authorised repair and service facilities for all the products we offer.

We are NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) approved contractors, certified by the NSI at GOLD for the installation of security & Fire systems, we hold BAFE SP203, Constructionline, ISO9001 & ISO14001 accreditations.

Safety is our number one priority. We can demonstrate our commitment to this statement being the recipients of the British Safety Councils International Safety Award for 13 consecutive years and now members of Constructionline. Quality is also very important to us and we operate a system that meets, and is certified to the requirements of BS EN ISO9001:2015.

Maintenance and fault repair services are offered on a tailor made basis to suit the requirements of our clients, these can range from "four hour" agreements providing service to many customers that require same day attendance, to next day response for "offshore" installations and a two hour response for many Defence Estate establishments. All with 24 hour a day, every day of the year cover.

Our Products & Services:- Fire Detection & Alarm Systems: Conventional, addressable, analogue addressable, and flame detection systems form the basis of the fire detection and alarm systems for general or specific specialist applications. Often these are networked for larger sites and managed with server / PC workstation IP networks.

High Sensitivity Smoke Detection: Known by the trade mark names of HSSD and VESDA. These systems suit applications where very early smoke detection is required: data centres, server farms and communications facilities are typical applications, although their use in heritage properties has grown in recent years.

Gaseous Extinguishing Systems: FM200®, Argonite, Carbon Dioxide, and more environmentally friendly alternatives such as fine water spray, Novec™ 1230 and inert gases. Since the ban was introduced on the manufacture of fire extinguishing gases that contain CFCs the range of extinguishants available has increased dramatically. Precise selection is required to apply the most appropriate agent to any application.

Intruder Detection & Alarm Systems: Integrated with other security systems or stand alone, monitored by an ARC (alarm receiving centre) with police response or by the customers own control room.  We specialise in high security systems from Grade 3 to Grade 4 (where equipment allows) and to JSP440 standards.

Access Control: From single door to enterprise level, server based, distributed multisite systems.

CCTV: Fixed single camera installations to larger and networked systems. Using analogue and IP technology with new generation digital video recording, analytics and control equipment.

Voice Alarm / Public Address: A Voice Alarm system is recognised as the quickest way to evacuate people buildings. Following fire detection, automated messages can control the movement of people in stairwells and corridors allowing a safe evacuation of the building. Manual intervention using high priority fire microphones or paging terminals can supplement the automated response, confirming the validity and need to leave the building or not.

LV Electrical Installation: All of the above equipment requires primary power and most will require secondary power supplies. Some require the ability to operate for many days after failure of the public supply. We are able to design, install, maintain and certify installations to BS7671 and issue NICEIC certificates of conformity.
